This policy explains what information Subtone (“we”, “us”) collects when you order a reading, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep this short and plain on purpose. Questions are welcome at the.subtone@outlook.com.
What we collect
Only what we need to write and deliver your reading:
- Your contact details — the email address you give us so we can send your reading and any follow-up.
- Your music — the Spotify “On Repeat” playlist (or similar) you choose to share, and the artists, tracks, and listening patterns in it.
- Your questionnaire answers — the short responses you provide alongside your playlist.
- Payment confirmation — we are told that your payment succeeded, but your card details are handled entirely by Stripe and never reach us (see below).
What we do with it
- Produce your written reading and the visuals that go with it.
- Deliver it to you and answer your one included follow-up question.
- Process your refund if you request one during the launch guarantee period.
We do not sell your information, show you ads, or use your playlist or answers to build advertising profiles.
How your reading is created
Subtone is a human-and-AI process. To draft parts of your reading, the music and questionnaire details you share may be processed by AI tools. We share only what is needed for the reading itself, never your contact details, and we do not authorise these tools to use your information to train their models where that setting is within our control.
Who else is involved
- Stripe — handles payment securely. We never see or store your full card number. See Stripe’s own privacy policy for how they handle payment data.
- Email and hosting providers — used to deliver your reading and run this website. They process information only on our behalf.
How long we keep it
We keep your reading and the details behind it only as long as needed to deliver it, honour the refund window, and keep basic records. You can ask us to delete your information at any time and we will, unless we are required to keep limited records (for example, proof of a transaction).
Your choices
You can ask us to show you what we hold, correct it, or delete it. Just email the.subtone@outlook.com from the address you ordered with and we’ll take care of it.
Cookies and analytics
This site is intentionally light. We don’t use advertising cookies. If we add basic, privacy-respecting analytics to understand visits, we’ll update this page.
Children
Subtone isn’t intended for anyone under 16. Please don’t order if you’re under that age.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top. Material changes will be made clear.
